Dr. Melanie Roth
About
Dr. Melanie Roth graduated in 1991 from the Western College of Veterinary Medicine in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. She spent several years in mixed animal practice in Steinbach, Manitoba, followed by a couple of years in small animal and emergency practice In Winnipeg, Manitoba. Dr. Roth returned to mixed animal practice in Glenboro, Manitoba for several years prior to moving to Indian Head, Saskatchewan where she established the Indian Head Animal Clinic. Dr. Roth spent 12 years as a mixed animal practitioner in Indian Head before deciding to focus on small animals exclusively since 2011. Dr. Roth sold the Indian Head Animal Clinic in 2021 after making the decision to provide in-home hospice/end-of-life care and euthanasia for pets. She is currently a member of the International Association for Animal Hospice and Palliative Care and the Canadian Association of Veterinary Cannabinoid Medicine. Dr. Roth has completed the American Animal Hospital certificate in Animal Hospice and Palliative Care. When not working, Dr. Melanie spends time at her home with her dog Vusa and enjoying the outdoors. She enjoys reading, gardening, travel, arts and crafts and playing the the violin and piano. Dr. Melanie also spends part of her time overseas in Serbia where she is a partner in a beekeeping entreprise.
